1989
BAC was established as a Joint Venture of Somic Ishikawa & Lemforder (Ball Joint, Stabi, and Tie Rod End machining and assembly)

1990-2000
Established North America sales with Toyota, CAMI, Izuzu, Subaru, and Honda.

2000
Wytheville Technologies, Inc. was established in Wytheville, VA (Plating, Ball Stud Machining, U-Bolt) Attained QS-9000 Certification

2005
Attained ISO 14001 Certification.

2006
Attained TS 16949 Certification.

2010
BAC and WTI formally merged as Somic America, Inc.

2011
Established front and rear suspension arm sales, and established rotary damper sales for tailgate and seat applications.

2012
Earned first of many Toyota Excellent Quality Award.

2013
Earned Toyota Excellent Quality Award, and Flex N Gate Supplier of the Year.

2014
Earned Toyota Excellent Quality Award, OSHA SHARP Certification, and Honda Excellence in Delivery Award.

2015
Earned Toyota Superior Quality Award, and Honda Excellence in Quality and Delivery Award.

2016-2022
Somic America’s future is bright, as we continue to invest in new business acquisition, vertical integration investment and our recent expansion of our Wytheville, VA facility poises Somic America for continued success.
