As a Manufacturing Plant Controller, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial operations, budgeting, and cost control within our automotive component manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the financial stability and profitability of the organization by implementing effective financial strategies, analyzing costs, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.

Duties and responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans for the manufacturing facility.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the management team.
- Conduct financial analysis, monitor performance indicators, and provide regular reports to management.
- Identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Monitor manufacturing costs and expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Implement cost control measures and develop strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Review and analyze financial data related to production, inventory, and labor costs.
- Collaborate with production managers to analyze product profitability and identify areas for cost reduction.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Assist in preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary financial data and documentation.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control processes, including monitoring stock levels, reconciling inventory records, and conducting periodic audits.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommend actions for inventory optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to manage material costs and minimize excess inventory.
Financial Decision Support:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial feasibility studies, and assess project profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the financial impact of new product introductions or process changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Cost Controller, or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
