Program Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to oversee and coordinate various engineering and manufacturing programs for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and manufacturing, with a proven track record of successfully launching programs for Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers serving OEM customers. This role requires effective management of capital equipment and component suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries and installations at plant facilities.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and lead engineering and manufacturing programs from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with capital equipment suppliers and other component suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and installation at plant locations.
  • Utilize expertise in machining, forging, assembly, suspension, and chassis systems to oversee program execution.
  • Conduct weekly internal APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) meetings to track progress and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate weekly customer external APQP meetings in collaboration with Sales teams to align on project milestones and customer expectations.
  • Maintain project timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) in program management within the automotive or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong background in managing projects involving machining, forging, assembly, suspension, and chassis systems.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers for OEM customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
